Polsek Cileungsi’s Unconventional Approach to Bust Syndicate Adulterating 3 kg LPG
In an unconventional move, the Cileungsi Police District dismantled a syndicate involved in illegal filling of 3 kg LPG cylinders in the Cileungsi area of Bogor. The chief of police sub-district (Kapolsek) personally led the operation by going undercover as a courier.
Kapolsek Cileungsi, Kompol Edison, disguised himself as a courier to spy on the culprits for 4 days, ultimately leading to the exposure of the adulteration scheme and the arrest of one perpetrator. The whole operation was a success.

Edison and his team intercepted the truck near the Cileungsi flyover based on strong evidence gathered during the surveillance.

Perpetrators: Two individuals were in the vehicle, one of whom managed to escape.
Confession and Further Details:

The captured perpetrator confessed that they were planning to sell the adulterated gas to a broker in Tangerang.

The seized 12 kg gas cylinders were filled with subsidized 3 kg LPG.
All evidence is now secured at the Cileungsi Police Station, as confirmed by the official statement on the @polsek_cileungsi Instagram account on Saturday, 5th April 2025.
This hands-on approach by Kompol Edison and the successful operation have led to the disruption of the illegal gas filling activities in the region.
